Our New Home
NYMEC is currently in the midst of renovating our corporate headquarters. The “1894 School House” on 162 Broadway in Amityville, New York is a perfect example of Victorian Gothic architecture. It’s the first building of its kind constructed in the area and NYMEC is committed to renovating it to its former glory.
The School House is recognized as a local landmark and part of Amityville’s community heritage. NYMEC has been working closely with the Village of Amityville and the Historical Society to ensure that any exterior enhancements to our new home are consistent with its original design. We are continuing to stay faithful to the classic details of its original design while incorporating top of the line functionality to allow us to efficiently serve our clients.
The close attention to accuracy and detail that we are demonstrating in our corporate headquarters renovation is the same attention we bring to our clients’ projects. If an existing structure is considered to be historically or architecturally significant, we will consult with relevant organizations to respect any noteworthy original features as we add modern functionality to it. NYMEC also has a fully staffed Manhattan office located at 237 West 35th St. Suite 1202 to to better serve our clients in the New York City area.
